About the album Wishbone Four

The British band Wishbone Ash, after Argus and the progressive rock style they had presented on that album, released Wishbone Four in 1973, an album that leans towards rock but also has a folk rock style. It was recorded during February and March 1973.

The album contains eight compositions, with lyrics written by Wishbone Ash's bassist and singer, Martin Turner, while all members of the band contributed their ideas to the music. The production was handled by the band members themselves.

Wishbone Four reached No. 12 on the UK charts, and its 60,000 sales were enough for the record to go silver in their home country. The album reached No. 44 and was the best accomplishment the British band achieved across the Atlantic in their long-running career.
