On February 10, 1978, one of the most iconic and influential hard rock albums for the American hard music scene was released. This is the debut of the Californians Van Halen. Producer Ted Templeman made sure to highlight the skills of each member of the group through his exemplary work.

Although each member of the band is at an excellent moment, the one who stands out and immediately enters the pantheon of rock history is the 23-year-old Eddie Van Halen, thanks to the technique he applies to playing the electric guitar, something that is very evident in the instrumental Eruption.
