Fair Warning by Van Halen
About the album Fair Warning
In 1981, Van Halen released their fourth studio album in order, Fair Warning. The album was recorded between March and April 1981 at Sunset Sound Recorders in Hollywood. The producer of the album was Ted Templeman with whom Van Halen collaborated on this album as well.
The singles from the album were So This Is Love? and Unchained. The album cover was a detail from the painting "The Maze" by Canadian painter William Kurelek, a work from 1953.
The truth is that Fair Warning as an album did not offer anything new, anything different compared to the three previous albums of the band. This resulted in its sales being not at all encouraging - always in relation to the sales of the other three. Over time, it sold 2,000,000 copies in the U.S., and it even reached No. 5 on the Billboard.
