About the album Phenomenon

Phenomenon is the third album in the career of UFO and was released in 1974. On guitar is Michael Schenker after his transfer from Scorpions, and it is the first album they record with a major record label, Chrysalis Records.

Michael Schenker immediately takes on the role of composer, and together with singer Phil Mogg, they write all the songs of Phenomenon. The biggest hit that will emerge from the album is the song Doctor, Doctor, which Iron Maiden will cover as a b-side of the single Lord Of The Flies in 1995. Phenomenon is an album that musically moves somewhere between hard rock and blues rock.

It is considered and is an album of transition from hard rock to heavy metal, thanks to songs like Rock Bottom.
