About the album Quadrophenia
The Who released their sixth studio album in 1973. The album was titled Quadrophenia and was a double album. The Who once again composed a rock opera here. The sole composer of the album's seventeen tracks is Pete Townsend. The original release of the album included a small book explaining exactly what Quadrophenia was about.
Quadrophenia is an example of how hard rock marries with art rock. The following singles emerged from the album: 5:15, Love, Reign o'er Me, and The Real Me (which was even covered by W.A.S.P.)
The album has sold 1,000,000 copies to date in the U.S. alone.
