The Who By Numbers by The Who
About the album The Who By Numbers
According to Pete Townsend himself, the songs of The Who By Numbers were written while he was going through a mid-life crisis in his thirties, which made him believe he was too old to play rock music.
The other members of the band also felt the boredom and fatigue and were generally unable to concentrate. It took three months to record.
The album reached No. 7 in the UK and No. 8 in the USA.
