The eighth studio album of The Who was marked by the death of their drummer, Keith Moon, three weeks after its release. The year of its release was 1978.
With Who Are You, The Who try to create a sound more friendly to the large masses of the audience, but they have also incorporated many elements of progressive rock.
The album managed to stand commercially as it reached No. 2 in the U.S. and No. 6 in the U.K. Its worldwide sales are estimated to be around 2,500,000 copies.
