About the album Difficult To Cure

The fifth album by Rainbow titled Difficult To Cure comes in 1981 and inaugurates a new, short-lived era for Ritchie Blackmore's band as Joe Lynn Turner takes on the song's interpretation.

Production belongs to Roger Glover. The cover was a work by Hipgnosis. Initially, the design team had proposed it to Black Sabbath for their 1978 album Never Say Die!, but they had rejected it. Ultimately, it found its place on Rainbow's fifth record three years later.

Difficult To Cure would become the band's greatest success as it reached No.3 in the UK and produced the single I Surrender, which coincidentally also reached No.3 in the UK singles chart and became the highest-charting single released by Rainbow in their home country.
