About the album Unmasked
After the huge commercial success of Dynasty the previous year – thanks to the single I Was Made For Loving You – Kiss wanted to continue with easy-to-digest songs on Unmasked, but it didn't work out for them. It only reached No.35 in the USA.
Peter Crisis, the original drummer, has now completely left, and his place in the album recordings was taken by Anton Fig.
Gene Simmons himself, in later statements, has disowned it as an album.
