About the album Love Gun

The four members of KISS and producer Eddie Kramer enter the Record Plant studios in New York on May 3, 1977, and by the 28th of the same month, they have finished recording the band's sixth album. Love Gun will keep KISS among the most popular rock bands in the United States.

Ace Frehley performs a song for the first time, one of the album's hits, Shock Me. The song Love Gun, which lent its name to the entire album, has never been missing from the band's concert setlist since 1977. Its composer, Paul Stanley, has stated that it is the song he feels most proud of. The cover was a work by Ken Kelly, who also created the cover for Destroyer.

Love Gun becomes the first KISS album to reach No. 4 on the Billboard chart. Its sales have reached 4,000,000 copies, and it is the best-selling studio album of the band’s career, coming second only to Alive!
