About the album Back On The Streets Again

Back On The Streets is Gary Moore's first album and was released in September 1978. Here, Moore tries to find the musical style that suits him. The album moves between hard rock and blues rock, while musical experiments are not absent. Some have also characterized the album as jazz fusion (!), obviously due to the existence of three instrumental tracks: Flight Of The Snow Moose, Hurricane, and What Would You Rather Bee Or A Wasp. The album's production was done by Chris Tsangarides and Gary Moore.

Among the songs on the album, Don't Believe A Word - a song by Thin Lizzy - stands out in a low tempo version, as well as Parisienne Walkways, which closes the album, one of the artist's top blues compositions, which in retrospect seems to foreshadow Gary Moore's artistic shift after 1990 (!). The cover photo shows Gary Moore being released from Wormwood Scrubs prison, located in West London.

Back On The Streets reached No. 70 in the United Kingdom.
