In 1990, Gary Moore finds himself making a major shift in his career and sound. He leaves behind the heavy-rock side of the eighties and dives headlong into electric blues. "Still Got The Blues," which is a play on words, will be the eighth album of his career.
The album contains five blues compositions by himself and seven by others, as the record is full of collaborations with names like George Harrison, Albert King, Albert Collins, and many others. Gary Moore also worked on the production of the album together with Ian Taylor.
The album reached No. 83 in the U.S., which is Gary Moore's best performance there (!) In the United Kingdom, sales reached 300,000 copies, in the U.S. 500,000, while notably, 200,000 copies were sold in Sweden.
