The Razors Edge by AC/DC
About the album The Razors Edge
As successfully as the 1980s began for AC/DC, they ended just as ingloriously. The 1990 album The Razors Edge was a major gamble for the band regarding whether they could make a big comeback. In the meantime, three changes had occurred. Brian Johnson didn't deal with the lyrics and focused only on vocals, Chris Slade was the new drummer, and Bruce Fairbairn took on the production of the album.
All these definitely played their role in the album's great success, but to be honest, the major role was played by the opening song and first single of the record, the - now iconic - Thunderstruck, which made rock music fans everywhere engage with AC/DC once more.
The Razors Edge has sold nearly 8,000,000 copies worldwide and is the fourth best-selling album for the Australians.
