About the album High Voltage

High Voltage was the first album by the Australian rockers in 1976. The previous year, an album with the same title was released, but with almost different songs for the Australian market. From this version, plus some other songs from the album T.N.T., which was also for the Australian market, emerged High Voltage, which was aimed at the rest of the world.

The album from the first second is a lesson on how hard rock/blues should be played. The compositions are by Bon Scott and the brothers Angus & Malcolm Young. The producer of the album is Harry Vanda. The image of Angus Young on the cover was destined to function as a brand name for AC/DC throughout the following decades of career that awaited them.

Initially, in the USA, the album received negative reviews and went almost unnoticed everywhere. Today it has surpassed 4,000,000 copies and is considered one of AC/DC's best albums.
