Flick Of The Switch by AC/DC
About the album Flick Of The Switch
In 1983, the Australian band AC/DC increased their studio album catalog to eight with Flick Of The Switch. After three consecutive albums that brought them fame and money, all produced by Mutt Lange, they decided to move to Compass Point Studios in the Bahamas without a producer and organize everything themselves.
There, great tensions arose between guitarist Malcolm Young and drummer Phil Rudd, who was showing unprofessional behavior due to his dependence on alcohol and drugs. This, along with changing times, led Flick Of The Switch to not do as well as the previous three albums. Many critics pinpoint the start of the band's decline with this album.
The album reached No.3 in Australia, No.4 in the United Kingdom, and No.14 in the USA. Overall, Flick Of The Switch has sold something over 2,000,000 copies worldwide.
