Slayer
Slayer was a legendary American thrash metal band formed in 1981 in Huntington Park, California. The members who formed the band were Kerry King (guitar), Jeff Hanneman (guitar), Tom Araya (vocals, bass), and Dave Lombardo (drums). They became globally known for their aggressive and fast sound, iconic riffs, and lyrical themes focusing on social issues, religion, and war. Their 1986 album "Reign in Blood" is considered one of the most important works of the genre. Their influence on the metal scene is undeniable, securing a place among the "Big Four" of thrash metal, along with Metallica, Megadeth, and Anthrax. Despite lineup changes and Lombardo's departure, Slayer remained active until the band's dissolution in 2019.
