Saints & Sinners by Whitesnake
About the album Saints & Sinners
Saints & Sinners, a release from 1982, is the fifth studio album by Whitesnake. The band continues to desperately seek success in the United States, but it does not come with Saints & Sinners, which, of course, will manage to reach No.9 in the United Kingdom. The album also achieved success in other European countries as well as in Japan.
David Coverdale participated in the composition of all the songs. Some are exclusively his compositions, while in others he has the help of other band members. The album contains the first versions of the songs Crying In The Rain and Here I Go Again, which would both be re-recorded to be included on the album 1987 five years later. Saints & Sinners was the last album in which the first "classic" lineup of Whitesnake participated in the recordings. The relationships between the members were strained and they could not continue together. The production of the album was by Martin Birch.
The album went silver in the United Kingdom due to its 60,000 sales.
