About the album Firefly

Firefly was the tenth studio album by Uriah Heep in 8 years. It was the debut album for singer John Lawton and bassist Trevor Bolder. The legendary singer David Byron had just departed.

The album was recorded on dates between October and November 1976. Gerry Bron returned to production. Songs that certainly stood out were Wise Man, Sympathy, and the album opener The Hanging Tree.

The album reached No.166 on the Billboard, which certainly does not make it a commercial success.
