About the album Demons And Wizards

And so, with 1972's Demons And Wizards, Uriah Heep achieved their classic lineup at 100%, with which they would proceed through most of the 1970s. Demons And Wizards was the fourth studio album from the group out of London.

On this record, Uriah Heep moves between hard rock, progressive rock (perhaps even space rock), and some would say they touch the edges of heavy metal (!) On this particular album, one can hear the band's most well-known song, Easy Livin’, which was also the second and last single from the album. The English artist William Roger Dean was responsible for the album's cover, while the group's long-time collaborator, Gerry Bron, handled the album's production.

Demons And Wizards was a success on both sides of the Atlantic, reaching No. 20 in the United Kingdom and No. 23 in the USA. The great success was noted in Finland, where it remained at No. 1 for fourteen weeks (!)
