About the album Soul To Soul

In 1985, the third studio album of the Texan bluesman is a fact and has the title Soul To Soul and is a record that moves in the classic blues form that Vaughan had presented in his first two works, namely a mix of electric and Texas blues.

Out of the ten songs on the record, four are his own compositions, and the remaining six are covers of songs by other bluesmen, such as Earl King, Doyle Bramhall, or Willie Dixon. The two singles from the album, Lookin' Out The Window and Look At Little Sister. The production of the album was done by Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble and Richard Mullen, just as it happened with the first two albums. On the other hand, a video clip was shot and aired for the song Change It, without it being an official single of the album (!)

Although Soul To Soul received positive reviews, there was the "criticism" that he could not present his own new material in 100% of the compositions of the record. The album reached No. 34 on the Billboard.
