Stevie Ray Vaughan was an American guitarist, singer, and songwriter, known for his contribution to the blues. Born on October 3, 1954, in Dallas, Texas, he developed a distinctive guitar playing technique and established himself on the blues scene in the 1980s. He formed the band Double Trouble and released several successful albums, including "Texas Flood." He was one of the most significant figures in his genre, with influences that continue to this day. Vaughan tragically died in a plane crash on August 27, 1990.
