Moving Pictures by Rush
About the album Moving Pictures
Despite the fact that the era of progressive rock seemed to belong to the past by 1981 and other musical trends had come to the forefront, the Canadian band Rush managed to succeed with Moving Pictures by incorporating elements of early '80s hard rock into their sound.
The album became their biggest commercial success in the USA with sales exceeding 5,000,000 over time and with an extremely successful single: Tom Sawyer.
The album has been placed by many critics in the highest positions on lists of the greatest albums of all time.
