About the album Aqualung

Aqualung was the fourth album of the English band Jethro Tull under the guidance of Ian Anderson. In 1971, Jethro Tull reached the peak of their career very early (in relation to their long career). The sound of Aqualung defined the entire trajectory of the band.

The year it was released, the album reached No. 4 in the UK, while its reissue – 25 years later – managed to reach No. 52. In the USA, it reached No. 7.

In the USA, it went triple platinum, while its sales worldwide exceed 7,000,000 copies.
