About the album Stage Struck
The live recorded Stage Struck is Rory Gallagher's third and final official live album while he was alive. It was released at the end of 1980 and includes eight songs from the promotional tour of Top Priority, which had been released the previous year.
The album's songs come from Calling Card, Against The Grain, Photo-Finish, and the aforementioned. In this live record, Rory Gallagher presents the songs with a dose of hard rock style. Standout moments of the album are the performance of Moonchild and Shadow Play with which the album closes. When Stage Struck was re-released in 1999 on CD, two additional songs, Keychain and Bad Penny, were added.
Stage Struck reached No. 40 in Great Britain and its sales made it silver.
