Calling Card by Rory Gallagher
About the album Calling Card
At some point, Rory Gallagher had opened for Deep Purple at concerts and there he got acquainted with Roger Glover. This acquaintance brought the latter to the position of producer for the Irishman's sixth solo album. Calling Card would be Rory Gallagher's last album to feature Rod de'Ath on drums and Lou Martin on keyboards. The recordings took place at Musicland Studios in Munich.
In 1976, Calling Card is one of the Irish guitarist's and his band's greatest moments. One song follows another, each offering something special to the listener's ears and senses.
The album reached No.32 in the UK and went silver.
