About the album Queen

Somewhere in the early 1970s, the group of the four members of Queen began their joint journey that would last for over two decades. On July 13, 1973, Queen's debut album bearing their name was released. The album is a jumble of progressive and hard rock. Although it is not the best they have released, it is enough for someone to understand what valuable musicians and artists these young people are and how far they can go.

The recording of the album lasted from April to November 1972. During this period, tensions and arguments were not absent among the members of Queen and the producer Roy Thomas Baker, who constantly asked them to repeat what they were recording. The album closes with an instrumental piece called Seven Seas Of Rhye... and is short in length (a little over a minute). The following year, the second album Queen II closes with a song of the same title, which was also a single from the second album.

Queen's debut initially made an impression only in Britain, reaching No. 10 in their homeland. Its sales in Britain today are estimated at 100,000 copies, while in the USA they have reached 1,000,000.
