In August 1983, Queen gathered in Los Angeles to record their eleventh album.
At the beginning of 1984, The Works was on the market with the first single being Radio Ga Ga. Their sound had adapted to the electropop of the time and the sound of the '70s was now completely a thing of the past. However, with The Works, Queen found resonance with a new generation of listeners.
The album reached No. 2 in the UK and No. 23 in the USA. In Germany, it sold 500,000 copies, the same as in the USA (!)
