About the album Ten
Ten emerged as the result of the musical experiments and rehearsals of former members of Mother Love Bone. Initially, there were no lyrics in the compositions; they came later from Eddie Vedder, who took on the role of interpreter and lyricist for the Seattle band, which was in the process of formation in 1991.
Despite the fact that the members of Pearl Jam have stated that the mixing of the album was overdone and they didn't like it, Ten is one of the most defining albums of the grunge generation, an album that paved the way for other bands to play similarly.
In the U.S., Ten has reached 13,000,000 copies, while it remained on the Billboard chart for 264 weeks.
