About the album Bitches Brew

In 1970, Miles Davis presents the album Bitches Brew and confirms to all his music fans that he is at the best phase of his career. Bitches Brew is an album where its creator exhausts his experiments in jazz fusion music, or rather better, in this specific double album, even the experiments pass to another level.

Only six compositions share the ninety-four minutes of the album. Avant-garde jazz and psychedelia are present in all the minutes. What Miles Davis introduces here is the extensive use of the electric piano and guitar, something that makes the album surpass the boundaries of jazz music up to that point. What is even more impressive is that it took only three days in August 1969 to complete the recordings of Bitches Brew, an album whose title remains a mystery, with the only logical explanation being that Miles Davis wanted to make a reference to the women who had been in his life up to that time.

The album was produced once again by Teo Macero. The album sold 1,000,000 copies in the U.S.
