Bitches Brew by Miles Davis
About the album Bitches Brew
In 1970, Miles Davis presents the double album Bitches Brew and confirms to all his music fans that he is in the best phase of his career. Bitches Brew is a record where its creator exhausts his experiments in jazz fusion music or rather, in this particular double album, even the experiments reach another level.
Only six compositions share the ninety-four minutes of the album. Avant-garde jazz and psychedelia are present in every minute. What Miles Davis introduces here is the extensive use of electric piano and guitar, which makes the record break away from the boundaries of jazz music until then. What's even more impressive is that it took only three days in August 1969 to complete the recordings of Bitches Brew, an album whose title remains a mystery, with the only logical explanation being that Miles Davis wanted to make a reference to the women who had been in his life up to that point.
Teo Macero was once again in the production of the album. The album sold 1,000,000 copies in the USA.
