About the album Borboletta
In 1974, Santana's band released Borboletta, a jazz fusion album. Borboletta, which means "butterfly" in Portuguese, is an album in which Carlos Santana gives plenty of room to the rest of the group to showcase their talent.
Half of the album's compositions are songs, while the rest of the album consists of instrumental compositions, where each musician in the band has the opportunity to play as they wish. One of the standout songs from the album is Give And Take, which captivates with its funky rhythm. The album's production includes Carlos Santana, drummer Michael Shrieve, and the band's keyboardist, Tom Coster.
The album reached No. 20 in the United States and No. 18 in the United Kingdom.
