About the album Youthanasia
Youthanasia of 1994 came as the natural musical continuation of Countdown To Extinction of 1992. Megadeth wanted to continue enjoying the success they had known, and to a large extent, they achieved it with this album, which was the sixth studio album in a row for Dave Mustaine and his album companions, as the composition of Megadeth did not remain stable for long.
The title Youthanasia and the cover were a "warning" to society about how the older generations treat the youth.
Youthanasia has sold 1,000,000 copies in the USA. It is, in terms of sales, the second most commercially successful album of Megadeth after its predecessor.
