About the album Killing Machine
To Killing Machine is the fifth album by Judas Priest, and with this, they bid farewell to the 1970s. It is a work that is considered among the best of the band from Birmingham, England. The band's lineup has now stabilized, and the compositions of this specific album show that Judas Priest lead and precede a musical movement and musical change that is coming to the heavy music scene.
The album included songs that are now more than classic in the long catalog of the band. Here, someone will hear Hell Bent For Leather, Burnin’ Up, and Runnin’ Wild. The amazing cover of The Green Manalishi (With the Two Pronged Crown) by Fleetwood Mac was initially released on the American edition of the album titled Hell Bent For Leather, but it was added a bit later to the European reissues due to its success.
In the U.S., when released under the title Hell Bent For Leather, it reached No. 128, but it has now sold 500,000 copies. In their homeland, Judas Priest saw it reach No. 32 and sell 60,000 copies.
