About the album So Far, So Good... So What!

In their third studio album titled So Far, So Good... So What!, Megadeth want to continue the success they experienced with the previous one. For this reason, Dave Mustaine and David Ellefson fire Chris Poland and Gar Samuelson and hire Jeff Young and Chuck Behler in their places for the recording and promotion needs of the new album.

The album includes the first song Mustaine wrote after his dismissal from Metallica, which is Set The World Afire, while for the cover of the Sex Pistols' song Anarchy In The U.K., Dave Mustaine altered the lyrics and managed to get Steve Jones, the guitarist of the Sex Pistols, to play the second guitar solo that is heard.

So Far, So Good... So What! clearly did far better than the two previous Megadeth albums. In the United States, it reached No. 28 and in Britain No. 18. Its worldwide sales have exceeded 1,000,000 copies.
