About the album Hail To England

The American band Manowar, in order to honor the country where the band members met, as well as the country where Heavy Metal began, released Hail To England in 1984. The album is said to have been recorded in six days. In addition to the songs that made up Hail To England, Manowar had recorded other songs, which formed the core of their next LP.

It is considered among the best power metal albums of all time. It was the first album by Manowar to achieve success on any chart, reaching No. 83 in England. Obviously, its title and cover played a significant role in this. The title was dedicated to the band's hardcore fans in England.

Most of the compositions belong to Joey DeMaio, while the production of Hail To England is the work of Canadian producer Jack Richardson.
