Christmas Time Again by Lynyrd Skynyrd
About the album Christmas Time Again
In September 2000, Lynyrd Skynyrd released their eleventh album titled Christmas Time Again through CMC International Records. The album contained eleven songs with a clear and obvious theme: Christmas (!)
Lynyrd Skynyrd cover songs by others that are about Christmas (such as Messin' With The Kid by Junior Wells or Run Rudolph Run by Chuck Berry), include their own versions of the classic Christmas songs Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and Santa Claus Is Comin' To Town, as well as the traditional Greensleeves, while also writing two or three new songs of their own, like the title track and Santa Claus Wants Some Lovin'. All of this wrapped in a blues-southern rock-boogie-country rock package. Among those who contributed to the completion of the album were some members of 38 Special and Charlie Daniels.
Christmas Time Again reached No. 38 on the Billboard chart.
