The Kink Kontroversy by The Kinks
About the album The Kink Kontroversy
In 1965, the Londoners The Kinks would release The Kink Kontroversy and establish a position in the pop/rock scene of England. It is the third studio album of the band.
Ten out of the twelve compositions are creations of Ray Davies. Many consider it to be a transitional album in the long career of The Kinks since one can hear both pop melodies (I’m Free), as well as more "rough" songs (Till The End Of The Day).
The Kink Kontroversy did not do very well in the U.S., as its position on the Billboard was No. 95.
