About the album Employment

The members of the British band Kaiser Chiefs, who were born in the 1970s, let all their teenage and youthful influences from the '80s and '90s dominate and guide them in their first album titled Employment. In fact, it's an album that stands between the alternative rock sound and art punk.

Employment was recorded in the second half of 2004 and released in early 2005. The album was produced by Stephen Street. It immediately gained the interest of the public in Britain and reached No.3 in its first week of release, and shortly after, it would reach No.2.

The album by Kaiser Chiefs managed to become seven times platinum (!) in the United Kingdom, which is particularly impressive. In several other countries, its sales were satisfactory. In Greece, it sold 10,000 copies.
