In 2004, it will be the year of Morrissey's return to the music scene after seven years of absence. The album will be called You Are The Quarry and it will be his seventh studio album, with which he will immediately win over the audience.
In the songwriting process, besides Morrissey, Alain Whyte and Boz Boorer have also participated. The album was produced by Jerry Finn. The sound of You Are The Quarry moves between alternative rock and the British pop of the eighties.
The album has sold 1,000,000 copies worldwide. It reached No. 2 in the United Kingdom and No. 11 in the U.S.A.
