About the album The Libertines
The Libertines "lent" their band's name as the title of their second album in 2004, an album which some consider one of the best of all time for the British pop/rock scene, while others believe it is overrated.
The songs revolve around the relationship between the two members of the group – which was not always the calmest – Carl Barat and Peter Doherty.
It reached No. 1 in Britain and No. 111 in the USA.
