About the album Saviors
A quarter of a century - almost - after Green Day's debut, the band from California releases the fourteenth studio album of their long and extensive career titled Saviors and proves that they can still offer their fans excellent punk rock songs embellished with power pop elements, as they have done throughout their career.
The album's production is the work of Rob Cavallo, but also of the band itself. Cavallo was involved in the production of Dookie and American Idiot. The album cover is a photograph taken by British photographer Chris Steele-Perkins in 1979 during the riots that broke out in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
From Saviors, five singles stood out, which pushed the album to reach No.4 on the Billboard chart. In the United Kingdom, it reached No.1, while it managed to enter the Top-10 in most European countries.
