About the album Dookie
The third studio album titled Dookie by the Californians Green Day caused a small earthquake at the time of its release and is one of the albums that rekindled interest in the punk rock scene.
Dookie was lyrically supported by the singer and guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong, who draws inspiration from personal experiences to create songs like Basket Case or She, which defined the fate of the album. Let's also add - of course - the "help" that Dookie received from MTV during those years.
In the U.S. alone, the album exceeded 20,000,000 copies.
