About the album Kerplunk
Green Day released Kerplunk in late 1991. At the time of its release, it achieved moderate success. The following album, Dookie (1994), boosted its sales and it reached 1,000,000 copies sold in the USA alone.
Welcome to Paradise was re-recorded, took a place among the songs of Dookie and was also released as a single to promote Dookie.
The album's title comes from the name of a board game that was released on the market in 1967.
