About the album Never Mind The Bollocks
Only the 4 singles from Never Mind The Bollocks (Anarchy In The UK, God Save The Queen, Pretty Vacant, Holidays In The Sun) released by the Sex Pistols in 1977 would have been enough to enter the pantheon of rock music. This album is a cornerstone in punk-rock music. What others were trying to express since the late '60s, they managed to achieve in 1977.
The Sex Pistols had already become known before the release of the album as they were banned from performing in various cities in England, had expressed themselves indecently on television shows, and had been kicked out of two record companies.
It went platinum twice in the U.S. and Britain. The production was done by Bill Price and Chris Thomas.
