The House Of Blue Light by Deep Purple
About the album The House Of Blue Light
The House Of Blue Light is the sixth and final album of the most classic lineup of Deep Purple, Mark II. The album is not on par with Perfect Strangers, but it cannot go unnoticed. In fact, the poor reputation of the album is blamed on the same members of Deep Purple who did not believe in it.
Jon Lord's statement is probably closer to the truth of what really happened. "The mistake was that we tried on The House Of Blue Light to follow the trends that prevailed then in rock music, while the world wanted us to stay as we were."
Paradoxically, the album has sold over 2,500,000 copies worldwide.
