Perfect Strangers by Deep Purple
About the album Perfect Strangers
One of the pleasant musical surprises of 1984 was Perfect Strangers by Deep Purple and indeed with their most classic lineup, MARK II. Roger Glover also holds the role of producer besides playing the bass.
The album does not remind one of the '70s sound. It seems as if all five members are contributing everything they learned from their journey after the disbandment of Deep Purple or their departure.
The album reached No. 5 in the UK and No. 17 in the USA, where the tour that followed in 1985 was second only to Bruce Springsteen's concerts in terms of audience attendance. Perfect Strangers has now sold 3,000,000 copies worldwide.
