About the album David Bowie

It is very difficult for someone to believe that this record is the debut of an artist the size of David Robert Jones or better, David Bowie. The album, which bears the artistic name Bowie chose, was released in 1967 and its musical style moves between baroque pop and music hall. He has himself stated that he doesn't understand where he was during the recording of the album.

The David Bowie album was a resounding commercial failure as the small record company, Derem Records, could not promote and advertise it. The album's producer was Mike Vernon.

In a second attempt to promote the album, it was decided that a film named Love You till Tuesday would be made, inspired by the title of the album's sole single. For the purposes of this film, Bowie wrote a new song entitled Space Oddity, and that's how it all started...
