With the album Let’s Dance, David Bowie completed fifteen albums. The Let’s Dance of 1983 is fully aligned with the pop sound of the early '80s.

It was commercially successful as an album, as its singles were played excessively, and MTV contributed by endlessly showcasing its video clips, reaching 11,000,000 sales worldwide.

Nile Rodgers helped Bowie with the album's production, while on guitar was Stevie Ray Vaughan, who was still unknown at the time.
