About the album Green River
Green River was the second of three albums released by Creedence Clearwater Revival in 1969 (!) Green River is one of their best albums with songs that would come to define the band from California, USA, such as the eponymous Green River or Bad Moon Rising.
The album is immersed in blues rock and swamp rock. Most compositions belong to John Fogerty, who is also the producer of Green River. The album can be found on almost every list of the most important albums of all time for rock music. Creedence Clearwater Revival, having lived closely through the psychedelic era in San Francisco, decided not to engage with substances and lengthy compositions of great duration, but to write direct and short songs - something they maintained in Green River, as well as in their subsequent recordings.
The record reached No.1 on the Billboard and has sold around 3,000,000 copies in the USA alone.
