About the album Let It Bleed

And somewhere there in the late '60s, the British Rolling Stones decide to make yet another musical surprise. They combine blues and country and through a modern – for then – approach, we have something new. Let It Bleed would become in 1969 the eighth album of their career. Let It Bleed – not unjustly – is considered a milestone album in the long career of the Rolling Stones and rightfully features in lists of the best albums of all time.

Let It Bleed came at a time of turmoil within the ranks of the band, as that period was marked by the tragic death of Brian Jones. As such, it was also the last album of the Rolling Stones to be referenced on the back cover as a quintet. The recordings of the album lasted a whole year, from November 1968 to November 1969, and took place in London and Los Angeles.

The No.1 in Britain translated to 300,000 sales, while the No.3 in the USA to 2,000,000 copies.
