About the album With Eric Clapton
John Mayal & The Blues Breakers meet with Eric Clapton on their first album, and as a result, in 1966, yet another classic blues rock album of the British scene was released.
Initially, John Mayal wanted the recording to be live, so that Eric Clapton's solos could be recorded on stage, but eventually the band and Clapton went into the studio.
Another name for the album is “The Beano Album”, because Eric Clapton appears to be reading the children's comic Beano.
